You’ve probably heard the term the Great Resignation being used to describe the increase of employees voluntarily leaving their jobs in the last two years…
But did you know that the driving force behind it is the intersection of race and equity in the workplace, and that Black women in particular have been behind the wheel?
Of course, this isn’t the first time that Women of Color have lead the charge of a socioeconomic revolution (hello, #BlackHistoryMonth!), but for most of today’s workforce, this is the first time we’re experiencing it firsthand.
At the root of the Great Resignation is disruption. It’s recognizing how certain systems aren’t working for us and getting REAL about the changes we want to see happen. ๐ฏ
We’re not only examining our roles within corporations and organizations, we’re exploring our own relationship between our ย w o r k ย and our ย w o r t h.
